Stage I
As usual, we started with a grandiose vision of type layered onto type to represent the "clutter" of the quote. This was intended as only the first layer of type—we'd intended two more in different typefaces!

Stage II
Coming to our senses, we stayed with the direction of the original sketch, creating a frame of clutter around einstein's quote. we placed the center of the blend so that it would highlight the words "find harmony"—an important message this time of year. Coincidentally, it also highlights "in the middle," which falls in the middle of the page. (Designer joke. Har. Har.)

Final
Yowza! We moved the type so it bowed around the quote rather than creating a straight vertical frame. Then, while messing about in Fireworks, we accidentally changed the entire color scheme. And we love it! The quote seems to float in the glow of purple. The clutter falls to the background, underlining the role such discord should play in our lives this holiday season. And the focus on purple creates an overall feeling of spirituality which transcends religion. Remember to take deep breaths and have a wonderful holiday season! We'll be back in January.
