Stage
I
As our regular readers know, we usually begin our VisoVerbo
explorations by playing around with typefaces. Each face tells
a different story, giving a slightly different spin to the quote.
While we originally thought we'd go with something a little
more in-your-face, we ultimately went with a humorous approach. |

Stage II
We selected a very traditional, hoary engraving image that
would certainly accompany the classic idea and typography
of "Love your enemy." We then slapped on Twain's
saucy retort in a handwritten face. But the composition is
too staid and the humor isn't quite coming through.
