Web
Smarts a success
Web Smarts, our first public seminar held earlier this month, was
a resounding success. The sold-out session, cosponsored by the Small
Business Development Center, focused on how to build a successful
strategy to get the most out of a Website. We had a lively group
of participants and shared a raft of information. We're currently
looking into offering a follow-up seminar to focus on how to drive
traffic to your site. In the meantime, we've posted a special links
page which includes resources on marketing, evaluating your site,
and more. Many thanks to our intrepid participants and special thanks
to Brian Kleber and Terri Brown of the SBDC for all their help in
making Web Smarts a success!
New search engines submission page
In response to requests from Web Smarts participants, we've added
a new page to the Cairril.com site which lists the most popular search
engines and directories and gives information on how to submit your
site to them. We also have a section on Bloomington-area resources
for the Web. Since many search engines have now gone to paid placement,
this page will help you decide which engines to focus your energies
on. Click here to view
the page.
Coming soon to a store near you!
Cairril.com Design has a new line of greeting cards hitting independent
specialty shops this month. Our next issue of "Sparks" will
spotlight the new line and tell you how you can find them!
Office Easel in the news
Cairril.com Design client Office Easel was featured in the Business
section of the Sunday Herald-Times
in Bloomington on 26 May. The article
highlighted Office Easel's fantastic success in providing greeting
cards and promotional products to orthodontists. We recently redesigned
Office Easel's catalogue and the photo in the H-T showed owner Charles
Coughlan, business manager Karen Matacale, and sales manager Dave
Sorokoty holding a proof of our new design. Congratulations, Office
Easel! |

Conseco
Headquartered in suburban Indianapolis, Conseco, Inc., is one of middle
America's leading sources for insurance, investment and lending products.
Like many savvy companies, Conseco looks for ways to leverage the
power of the Web to increase services, cut costs, and improve efficiencies.
We've worked with Conseco on a number of projects, most recently the
design of their CIGnificant Rewards Website. CIGnificant Rewards
is a new program where Conseco agents earn points which can be redeemed
for a variety of prizes. Since its launch in April, the site has attracted
over 500 visitors who have earned over one million points! Future
projects include an online agent portal which will significantly reduce
redundancies, improve information delivery, and add convenience for
Conseco agents.
