Eliminating spyware
Many people are unaware that some Web sites and free software programs
install "spyware" on your computer. Spyware can track
your movements online and even overwhelm you with pop-up ads. A
recent edition of SearchDay
suggested the following tools to check for and remove spyware:
Spychecker
Database that indexes almost a thousand software titles using spyware
or adware.
Bugnosis
Free utility from the Privacy Foundation that detects "web
bugs," code that can be used to track your browsing activity.
Free
Popup Killer Tools
Reviews and free downloads for a wide range of pop-up killer tools.
SpywareInfo
Articles, links, resources and other useful information to protect
yourself from spyware

The Old Rooming House
Want to get away from it all? Travel to beautiful New
Harmony, Indiana, and stay at The Old Rooming House! This 19th
century house is stuffed with 1940s travel memorabilia, antique
furniture, old and new books, and all the charm needed to restore
the spirits and add some fun back to life. Proprietor Jim Stinson
can tell you everything you need to know about historic New Harmony,
site of two utopian living experiments in the 19th century and a
bucolic small town today. We've been visiting the Rooming House
for almost ten years and love the low-tech atmosphere, 1960s bikes
for cruising the back roads, and especially the welcome baskets
filled with animal crackers!
