wins national design award
As announced in our special mailing last week, we were honored to
receive an American Graphic Design Award for the logo
we created for Parke, Williams, Ltd., a Bloomington-based executive
search and human resource consulting firm. The award recognizes
excellence in design as part of a national competition sponsored
by Graphic Design USA magazine. The logo was selected from among
11,000 submissions. The award-winning logo will be included in a
magazine-format design annual in December, and a subsequent hardcover
edition published in 2004.
Win two tickets to Lotus Festival!
As part of our upcoming two-year anniversary celebration, we're
giving away a pair of Lotus
World Music Festival tickets to one lucky client! This year's
festival will be held 24-28 Sept here in Bloomington. The tickets
are for the showcase concert on either Friday or Saturday night
(the winner decides). This contest is open to any Cairril.com
Design client, but we need to know you're interested!
and we'll enter you in the drawing to be held on Friday, 05 September.
This is our way of saying "thank you" for helping to make
our business a success!
Cairril.com Design site re-vamped
We've recently re-vamped our site to improve usability
and accessibility, as well as to provide more resources for our

the site includes our world famous Web
Smarts resource guide, resources on how
to hire a designer, the answer to the age-old question "What
is graphic design?", client
testimonials, information on getting
started on the Web, and background about
Cairril.com Design. Check it out!
E-commerce
search engine submission links
We recently presented a private Web
Smarts seminar for the directors of all Indiana's Small Business
Development Centers. As part of that session, we've updated some
of our Web Smarts pages. In particular, we've added e-commerce search
engines to our Search
Engine Submission Links page. We list the top e-commerce search
engines, their policies for inclusion, and links directly to their
submission pages.
Attention all Sparks subscribers!
