present “Web Smarts: Search Engine Strategies,” an in-depth
seminar on achieving the best rankings for your Web site, on Thursday,
August 8th, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm at The STAR Center in Bloomington.
The seminar will explore how to get the best rankings in top search engines,
directories, and portals; the meanings and uses of pay-per-placement,
pay-per-click, and hyperlinks; how to select, utilize, and bid on keywords
for maximum results; how to track your search engine ranking performance;
when you don’t need to worry about your site’s ranking; and how and when
to hire search engine optimization professionals.
The seminar is geared towards businesses and organizations looking to
improve traffic to their Web site. “Creating a Web site is just
the beginning,” said Cairril Mills, owner of Cairril.com Design
and the seminar’s presenter. “We’ll provide in-depth information
and use hands-on examples to help people learn how to get the most out
of their Web presence.”
