University hallways are notoriously cluttered with flyers vying for attention. To stand out, the Nottingham (England) Polytechnic Overseas Study Program needed an eye-grabbing poster and self-mailer. We used bold imagery, high-contrast colors, and italics to create excitement and compel attention. The colors, stripes, and imagery say “America,” while the sunglasses remind students it’s cool to live overseas.
