SEED Corp. is a non-profit that provides business planning courses, microloans,
and counseling to entrepreneurs in a 10-county area. As part of an expansion
of service, they needed a distinctive identity and marketing materials.
Our logo design conveys SEED Corp.’s promise of trustworthiness
and openness. The tone-on-tone color scheme is carried throughout letterhead,
envelope, and business card to form a distinctive identity.
We consolidated SEED Corp.’s many brochures and form letters into
three brochures. Dotted-line arrows and the words plant, water, grow,
and reap connect SEED Corp.’s offerings to the process
of developing a business. The friendly typography and smooth uncoated
paper communicate accessibility and professionalism, and our copy positions
SEED Corp. as “the” place to go for small business information.
Our design gave SEED Corp. a more professional presence. They’re
now using these materials to raise their profile in south-central Indiana.
This trio of brochures received a 2005 American Graphic Design Award for
excellence in communication and design.

Cairril quickly grasped our goals and helped
us create a professional presence. Her idea to make three separate brochures
gave us a lot of flexiblity in how we market ourselves. Her understanding
of our goals meant we had very few changes to design or copy. We are now
much better positioned to reach out to our new constituencies.
Brian Kleber, President, SEED Corp.
