Cairril Mills (AKA Ms. Dot Com) is the central power source for the beacon
of hope that is Cairril.com Design & Marketing. Her rich ideas come
from a lifetime of alter egos: senior designer, professional singer, history
buff, travel guide, writer, rescuer of small creatures, product developer,
founder of a national non-profit, world traveler, basketball team captain,
photographer, actor, Big Wheel® racing enthusiast, public speaker, activist,
typography teacher, and chocoholic.
She credits her first career (as a newspaper carrier, age 8) with developing
her passion for getting the job done as efficiently as possible.
Cairril graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with a degree in
graphic design, cut her design teeth in England, and spent eight years honing
her design, marketing, and business skills at InterArt/Sunrise.
She founded Cairril.com Design in 2000 out of her passion for helping small
and medium-sized businesses succeed. The studio thrived and was reborn in
2005 as Cairril.com Design & Marketing, providing business-savvy solutions
to clients nationwide.
You wouldn’t work with just anyone, and neither does Cairril. She
draws from a hand-picked group of experts who share her commitment to
your success. Thanks to her wide talent network, she can put together
a team perfectly suited to your project.
We look for professionals who have the chops to deliver great work. (Cairril
provides all the “color” we need.) You’ll work directly with
Cairril, and she’ll make sure all project work achieves your objectives.
We’re committed to reaching your goals regardless of whether anyone’s
watching. But it’s nice to be recognized, too. Some of our awards
include:
•
re:invention’s Double Dot Award: We were honored as a design firm
that demonstrates strategic thinking as well as creative excellence.
• Maxi Award: Our redesign of the Monroe Bank website earned the
bank a Maxi Award, one of the industry’s
most prestigious awards for marketing and advertising.
• American Graphic Design Awards: Our designs have repeatedly been chosen from
more than 10,000 entries in national competitions.
• Prodigy Award: Our redesign of the Smallwood Plaza website earned a Prodigy Award, the state apartment association’s
most prestigious award for marketing and advertising.
• Best New Product: Our designs were part of a line designated “Best New Product: Greeting Cards” at the New York Stationery Show, North America’s premiere social expressions trade show.
• Chamber of Commerce awards: We’ve been recognized twice
for our extraordinary volunteer work in the service of small businesses.
We believe that good design makes a difference—not only to the success
of small businesses but to the success of our community.
We’ve supported many organizations, such as the Lotus
Festival and Big
Brothers/Big Sisters. We also volunteer with the Franklin
Initiative, which has us talk to kids about design careers and self-employment.
